The story

About this print

Display how the stars were in the sky in up to four locations in the world and on any dates. This print shows your favourite locations in the world and when you visited them. For example the holidays you went on as a family or even the places that meant a lot to you as a couple such as where you met, where you got married, where you live, etc. Also includes the star constellations.

Please note that the date for our personalised map of the stars can be a date in the (past, present or future) as well as times during the (night and day!). Then input your locations and corresponding dates you want a snapshot of the night sky map. We calculate the co ordinates based on the location you provide.

A thoughtful gift for families, couples, newly weds, wedding Anniversary, Valentine's Day, birthday, Christmas, etc. As with all our products, we produce the designs in-house and welcome any customisations/alterations, just ask.

FAQs

01. Is it really the sky from my date?

Yes. We calculate the exact position of the stars for the date, time and place you give us, past or future, so every print is different.

02. How exact does the location need to be?

A town or city is enough. The stars look the same across a whole area, so a postcode or address isn't needed. The location isn't printed unless you add it to your text.

03. Do I need to give a time?

It is more accurate if you do. If you leave it blank, we show the sky at 10pm on your date.

04. Does it work for anywhere in the world?

Yes. The sky is drawn for the location you give, so it is correct for places in both the northern and southern hemispheres.

05. Can I have the coordinates printed?

Yes. Type them into one of the custom text lines, for example 51.5072° N, 0.1276° W, and we print them exactly as written.

06. What can I personalise?

When you order, fill in location, title and date for each star map.

07. Can you change the colours, wording or font?

Yes. We design every print in-house, so we can change the colours, wording or font. Add a note at checkout, or email hello@blimandblum.com before you order.

08. Can I see a proof before it is printed?

If you would like to check it first, choose "Yes please" under Proof Required? when ordering. We email you a proof within 24 hours and only print once you approve it, and you can ask for changes at that stage. A proof adds about 1 business day. Without it, we print as soon as it is ready.

09. What sizes are available?

8" x 12", 12" x 16" or 16" x 20".

10. Is the size the print or the frame?

The size listed is the print. The frame sits around it, so a framed piece is a little larger overall.

11. What frame options are there?

You can order it unframed, or framed in black oak, white oak, natural oak, matt black, matt silver or brushed copper. Oak frames have a real oak veneer, and the metal-look frames are aluminium, from Nielsen's Alpha range made in Germany.

12. Is the frame glazed?

Yes, with cast acrylic: clear, light and much safer to ship than glass. If you would like a different glazing, such as low-reflection, contact us before ordering.

13. Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Framed prints are professionally framed and arrive ready to hang. Unframed prints are sent flat if they are small, or rolled if they are large.

14. What paper is it printed on?

Thick 310gsm archival cotton-rag paper, rated for a print life of more than 85 years.

15. How long does delivery take?

Every print is made to order and dispatched tracked. Please order in good time before your occasion. Live delivery timings are shown at checkout.

What makes it special

Great design deserves great craftsmanship. That’s why we do everything ourselves — from designing and printing to framing — all in our London studio. Every material is carefully chosen for its quality and sustainability, sourced only from trusted manufacturers in the UK and Europe. While many brands rely on mass-produced frames or outsourced production, we take pride in creating every piece with care — so you receive a product that looks and feels as special as the moment it celebrates.
